    Installing dishwasher in 40" countertop configuration
    I'm remodeling my kitchen and being 6'6" tall don't want the standard height cabinet - would like at last 40". Was reviewing my plans and read dishwasher installation directions that insisted the dishwasher must sit on the floor.

    Why is this? Couldn't a plywood or other base be built for this and matching cabinet veneer below be used?

    Don't see why not. You may platform it from the bottom or space it in from the top. Good luck big guy! Tom
