    Nausea from the pill
I have just been prescribed birth control and have taken it for the past two days; however, those two days I was vomiting continuously and couldn't keep any food or liquids down for more than three hours or so. I am aware that nausea and vomiting are side effects to my birth control; but, I would like to know how long the vomiting and nausea will last. I know the results are different for everyone and I would just like to see how you girls all stand and if I should continue to stay with the pill I am on or consider another alternative.

Stop taking that pill and call your doctor immediately. Apparently you need a different kind of pill. This is not normal for the pill to have you nauseated or vomiting. Whatever brand that is you are obviously allergic to or have a bad reaction to something contained in it.

Actually those symptoms happen to many girls. My sister had the same problem, some people are very sensitive to the hormones. You can try something like ortho-low... but be aware the symptoms may not subside. Unfortunately some peoples bodies just can't handle it. Some things that may help are taking the pill at night with a full glass of water and some crackers. Good Luck
