E Mail Privacy. Not Using Your Real Name
Can someone search out my name if they have my e mail address? Can they ascertain my alternate address that contains my name? If so, how (both questions)? Thank you, Beaux

That obviously depends on how your email address is spelled. Unless they have sources and are trying to spam or stalk you (both questions)

For the first one, it is possible if you have entered your email address and name on a site where your information can be publicly seen. For example let's say you entered your name and email on a website that can be publiclly accesed, someone can search your email screenname on Google and find that web page that entered your email and name on. I would suggest not using your real name if your email address and name can be publicly viewed.

For number 2, the same thing. If you entered your alternate email address on a site with your real email they will be able to find it. Something else I forgot to mention, you can try searching your email address and name on Google to see where your info might be written down.

If you are that concerned, or freaked out, change your email and alternative email addresss asap and don't post "real" information on the net again in a hurry. A person cannot just call up say AOL and demand to know that information. The police, on the other hand, can get access to this information.
