Me and my husband just got a King Charles Spaniel (he's 15 weeks old) from a pet store and he will only eat if we feed him by hand and will only drink occasionally out of his bowl. We realize he is in a new environment, but we just hope this won't go on for a long time. We tried leaving him alone so he could eat on his own, but he wants to be with us all the time. What should we do?

Cfcpk, when a dog is rehomed, they don't understand what is going on, and will be confused and out of sorts. It is very normal for a new puppy to be off his food and water for at least the first few days in a new environment. As long as he is willing to eat and drink a little bit, that is a good sign. Please don't panic. Just give him a lot of attention and exercise. Exercise helps to create an apetite. Labman has some info on his sticky at the top of this forum for new dog owners.
