Help! I am in urgent need of your help!
My husband and I separated over three years ago... March of 2002. I tried to find him and serve him notice that I wanted to get a divorce then. He never responded to the letters I sent him asking for a divorce. Now, I have found someone who wants to marry me, but I still can't find my ex-husband. What do I have to do to get a divorce from this man. When I left him, I had a restraining order granted for one year. We don't have any children, no property, nothing. He sent messages to me several times at first saying that he will never divorce me. But, he hasn't been heard of since that time... three years ago. A friend of mine said that since we have been separated over two years, I shouldn't have any trouble getting a divorce. Is this true? Can you help me? I don't have a lot of money, but I want a divorce. Please help!

You do not have to find him, you can get your attorney ( and yes attorneys know how to do this) all they do is place a legal notice in normally the legal section of the paper where he was last known to live and in the area you live in now. It gives him a chance to resond by a certain date. If he does not respond the court proceeds without him.
It is easy and done all the time.

    Hi,
As Fr-Chuck said, you really need a lawyer. He/she can also draw up the Divorce papers, if needed, and can advise you what to do. This will insure that everything is on the "up and up"; and get it over with. The best to you and your boyfriend, and I'm sure it will work out OK, with a lawyer.
