Correcting name on deed to house
I transferred the deed to my house from my dad to me in 2002. We have the same last name. The last name is misspelled by one letter. I was told to go to the lawyer who wrote it up to correct it. I don't think he is around here anymore. Can I do this my myself? Without spending a lot of money? Will it be a problem when I want to sell my house if I leave it alone?

First try and go to the attorney who did this. If he is not around try going to the office where the deed is recorded and speak with them about the correction proving who you are, etc. Why didn't you notice the wrong spelling in 6 years?
