    Low Hot Water Pressure
    Hi

I went on vacation for 2 weeks and when I came home my hot water pressure has reduced significantly. My cold water pressure is fine it is only the hot water and it is in all facets. Is it my hot water heater?

Check the nipples on the inlet and outlet of the heater, especially on the hot side. Good luck, Tom

Just to compliment speedball1's answer... to check the hot water heater nipples you will obviously need to shut off the cold water into the water heater (relieve pressure at pipes by opening the hot side of a two handle faucet hopefully near your water heater) and remove the connections/adapters at the nipples themselves... If checking nipples does not disclose issue... check the cold water shutoff feeding water into the water heater itself... Here, you will probably have already shut off the water and disconnected the pipes for the nipple check so I would then stick a bucket under the cold water pipe and turn on the water... see what the pressure is like there. If this shows low pressure then you will need to replace the shutoff to the water heater (here, you simply shut off the water main, drain the water pipes throughout house (just open valves into sinks.. including any sink in basement) and replace the shutoff). Good luck... let us know how it works out!
