Universities offering Degrees by merely submitting a resume to them.
My Husband was invited to submit his resume to Belford University USA on line to them and if after examination by them, he qualified from a Major of his chioce and after a payment of $449 they would issue to him a Bachelors Degree in that Major. He would receive this together with other Documents within 7 working Days using DHL Express Couriers. They E-Mailed back to him, congratulating him on earning a Bachelors Degree in Psychology. They then asked for the payment to be made within 7 days. The monies have been paid to them in full and we have received an E-Mail from them, now saying that DHL Couriers who they use do not recognise our Address. We have since been in contact with Belford University both by E-Mail and telephone and have not received a satisfactory reply as to what is happening. Is Belford University a genuine University or just a mere Bogus University who have stolen our money. If they are Bogus, how can we get our money back? As they are publishing, 'if not satisfied then they will give a 100% refund. ' N.B. My husband is English and we live in the Kindom of Thailand and have paid the money using a UK Maestro Bank Card (On line) which was satisfactorily accepted by the Belford University.
We welcome your views and advice.

I too have an experience with this Belford University. I sent them an e-mail telling them I changed my mind and not to charge my credit card for the amount due and they did it anyway. I read online that they are a scam, but I am not sure what to do about it. I think you can report it to the FBI. Anyway it needs to be reported. Looks like we both were taken. You should be able to go to your credit card company or bank and issue a complaint. Try to get the charge taken off. Any other ideas let me know.

Belford University is bogus. I am not sure you can get your money back. While Belford maintains a post office box address in Texas, the degrees are mailed out of a location in Dubai, some reports say a location in Pakistan.

Other people have posted their experiences about Belford. See the archives:

They will mail you a piece of paper for a degree, They are not reconised by the US Dept of Education, and have no real value. You could have just as easy printed one on your own computer and it would have been just as good. There are no real degrees that do it from a resume.
Most likely you will get the piece of paper from them, in general this school normally sends their dipolmas but beyond that they merely make a good wall hanging. Don't expect to get your money back

You'll find a report on Belford University and its accreditation status at GetEducated.com's free service, The Diploma Mill Police. This report will tell you Belford's status: is it accredited?; and more importantly is it accredited by any *recognized agency* to award college degrees in the USA. --THis college is not, by the way, accredited by any recognized agency to award degrees in the USA. It is, in fact, not possible to earn a valid degree in the USA by faxing your resume to a college. SEE the FAQ articles on this topic at the online degree clearinghouse operated by GetEducated.com.
