OK, for the average 28 day cycle, the average ovulation timing is 12-14 days from the first day of your last period. Lets say you start your period on the first one the month, then the average timing would be that you would be ovulating around the 12-14 of that month. Make sense? However, that is only an average, and women's cycles are all different. Some women have longer periods (for ex. 32 days) some have shorter then the average 28. Some women ovulate at that beginning of their cycle, then there's the average in the middle, some at the end of the cycle, and a rare few even ovulate while on their periods. Also, keep in mind, that sperm can live inside of you for up to one week. So you could have sex several days before you ovulate, and still get pregnant.
