    Restaurant budget
I am taking over the accounting duties for a previously existing restaurant. They have quick books started with their previous accountant. The accounts and basic setup are filled in but have otherwise not started using it. I am looking to help them create and keep a balanced budget.
The restaurant is small, less than 25 people, fine dining, and independently owned.
I guess my question is how do I get started with a balanced budget, and where can I go for more help?
I am not an accountant, nor do I technically have any degrees or qualifications for it, just a smart gal they put in charge.

I found the following site and thought that it was kind of cool and might be helpful to you. I hope that it is. It is free to use.
