    Change Furnace Blower Velocity
I have an Amana 90 furnace. The blower is set on a really high velocity. It is pretty loud, especially if I close any of the vents. Does anyone know how to change the velocity of the blower in the furnace?

Most furnace blowers have multiple speeds, in the control box in the furnace the high speed tap is black, with the low speed being red wire, you will see two other wires from the motor, probably yellow and blue, usually the yellow will be med. High and the blue will be med. Low, if you interchange the black wire with the yellow this will slow the fan down in a/c or when fan is in the "on" position at the thermostat. The red is the lowest speed for heat but if it is running on the blue wire then you can interchange these. Hope this helps, Mike
P.S. kill power first before attempting this.
