Which makeup to choose
I need help! I have oily skin but mainly in my T-Zone and have a heck of a time finding a good foundation and powder that covers the imperfections, gives that flawless look, controls the oil, and doesn't make my face look like a shine factory by the end of the day. I tried Bare Minerals and did not care for it at all. Any ideas or recommendations?

If you have combination skin, I recommend that you use a cleanser designed for combination skin and then apply a gentle toner, and follow with an oil-free moisturizer. As for make up, using a self-adjusting foundation and a powder in translucent form will help take off the shine on your T-zone. You can also use foundations that are cream-to-powder based for this type of skin.

I have had the same problem with extremely oily, acne-prone skin my entire life.
I use pure jojoba oil mixed with aloe vera gel. Just use 2 drops of the jojoba oil mixed in your palm with a dollop of aloe vera gel and rub into your face and neck. Morning and night. Thoroughly Clean Facial Wash by Desert Essence is a great mild cleanser. Spot treat any acne simply with drops of pure tea tree oil. If you must use a toner, try witch hazel (I don't use a toner). Jojoba oil is very similar to the sebum in your skin. It "tricks" your skin into thinking it has produced enough oil, so therefore your skin does not bump up the oil production. The jojoba oil will feel slightly greasy at first, but after a few minutes, your skin will thoroughly absorb it.
I do like the whole idea of mineral makeup, however, I was not impressed with Bare Escentuals either. Try L'Oreal's line of mineral make-up. It has great coverage and lasts longer.
This regime has worked very well for me. My skin is so much clearer, it's not as greasy, and I get compliments on my skin's "glow" all the time.
Good luck!

Sammy68, you're right, L'Oreal's mineral makeup is amazing!! I have bareminerals, and no matter how many times I've tried to perfect using it, it does not seem to work. I thought it would be this "miracle makeup" as they make it seem on TV, but it's not. It looks powdery and has awful coverage. L'Oreal's mineral makeup has amazing amazing coverage, and it's much cheaper. It also keeps my skin shine-free.

Luscious4409, I've given you several options on how control the oiliness and balance your skin, but you have decided to abuse the reputation system to disagree with my advice. If you've tried using translucent powders and mineral make up and it didn't work for you, then you might want to try the other options that I've given you. I've been devoting my spare time to help you and others for free, and you were rude about it.
