It may be nothing more than the network of tubules that run through the scrotum, but since you are only feeling them on one side, it may be best that you have it checked out by your doctor.

I applaud you for checking your testicles, as you know men do get testicular cancer, and it is a necessity to check your testicles monthly, as it is a necessity for us women to check our breasts monthly.

See your doctor. This kind of thing needs early and professional diagnosis. We cannot possibly diagnose such a thing over the internet.

Seeing the doctor is your best bet. It could be nothing; it could be serious, unfortunately, there is no way to diagnose over the internet. It's good that you check them.

    Testicular cancer

Testicular cancer represents only 1 per cent of all cancers in men, but it is the single biggest cause of cancer-related deaths in men aged 15-35 years in the UK. Currently, about 1500 men a year (around 1 in 400) develop the disease in the UK. Unfortunately, the number of UK cases has trebled in the past 25 years and is still rising. Signs to watch out for include:

    A lump in one testicle.

Pain and tenderness in either testicle.

Discharge or pus from the penis.

Blood in the sperm at ejaculation.

A build-up of fluid inside the scrotum.

A heavy or dragging feeling in the groin or scrotum.

An increase in size of a testicle (one testicle is normally larger then the other but the size and shape should remain more or less the same).

An enlargement of the breasts with or without tenderness.

It is a good idea to know how to check your testicles and do it regularly.

Is there an actual lump on your testicle or something next to it? To me it sounds like some kind of infection that is causing inflamitary, providing that there isn't actually a mass on your testicle but next to.
