Hooking up a washing machine after removing a laundry tub
I currently want to remove the laundry tub in my house, as I want to run a wall right where the tub is. Can I remove the laundry tub and still hook up the washing machine? Do I have to hook up the washing machine in the exact spot of the sink?

There is an in-the-wall hookup kit that you can purchase. Has hot/cold and the drain.

Does the hookup requre the machine to be in the same place that the laundry tub was?

The hose has to reach the kit and typically is located above the washer height. The kit needs to be plumbed into the drain and water supply. You need a trap somewhere.

Here is an example kit. Ace - Ace Tree: Plumbing: Washing Machine Hose & Accessories: Washing Machine Boxes: Oatey® Washing Machine Outlet Box (38822)
