    Making money from the internet
I'm not really sure where to put this one, so I'm putting it here. I'm sorry if it is in the wrong location.

Well, I've recently lost my job due to a dispute with my manager. It's no biggie really since I'm only sixteen. I don't have to pay for anything, other than my gas, clothes, and things I want not need. I'd like to have that spending money. I'm not much of a "people" person, which is why we had the dispute. I would much rather work in the stock room and make things organized, than sell shoes.

I'm wondering if anyone else is also making money from the internet, and how are you doing this?

I'm thinking of going through the attic and our storage room for treasures to sell on eBay. My mother keeps everything. We have basically a whole pawn shoppe, seasonal store, and random things from way back when that she never uses. She's been meaning to clean up, and I know she wouldn't mind. [I'll just ask her if I can sell them before I put them up for sale]

Another thing is ads. I have a Myspace that gets tons of hits daily, just put up a few ads there and get money from it. What would be the better option to go with? Per click?

I've seen the "make money by taking this survey!". Most I've seen are scams and clutter up my "internet" email account. Do you know of any legit places where they could send money via mail or Paypal?

If there's anything that I'm missing that you know of, please post with some helpful suggestions.

    Hi Uhhleesha,

I think you've pretty much answered your own question when you mentioned the eBay idea. That sounds like a really good idea. How about taking about 10 items and giving it a try. I know of people who go to the clearance racks at high end stores, buy them, and them turn around and sell them on eBay for a really hefty profit.

Give it a shot and post a reply. I'm anxious to see how it works out for you.

If you are doing eBay, always use paypal, and always ship your goods where you have proof of delivery and print it out and keep that proof.

I buy and sell off the internet from time to time, and we even allow paypal to be used for our various church members to donate money to the church.

Great advice Fr_Chuck. It's so easy for people to get scammed on Ebay.

I came up with a list of items that could potentially bring in extra income.

Make soaps, clean houses, make jewelry, pet sit, typing for businesses, sale items in the house, mystery shopper, online survays, baby sit, buy inexpensive things from thrift stores and then sell them at a higher price, sweepstakes (have to be older than 18), invest in CDs/mutual funds/stocks/etfs, sell used books and text books, buy bulk and resale, Amazon associate, cha cha, tutoring, fix computers, low end job, sell homemade items at local stores, make dog treats, and pet soaps.

I could possibly make some items and then sell them online.

Just remember one thing about "making money with your computer": If it sounds too good to be true, IT IS.

You will have to treat this like any other job: you will have to work at it. If this were that easy and that great, then there would already be millions of people doing it.
