Hi there,
So I kind of remember these 2 separate films from when I was a child I think they came out in the 80's but I am not sure.

The first movie was fantasy about a little boy (not in our time) he was on a quest to defeat a bad king (or knight). This boy played a magic lute I think. One of the final showdown scenes was in the bad kings castle, this castle had a moat and I seem to remember black birds all around. Also I think the actors had english accents.

The other movie was more sci-fi/fantasy and I only remember one scene. It was a younger boy, he had just walked into a space ship and he is looking around, he walks into a room that is covered with shelves that have jars on them. When he looks closer he see's that the jars have weird creature things in them and some are still moving. It wasn't extremely scary, more along the lines of E.T. That's all I remember of that one and it's very possible that I dreamed it up. Ha!

If anyone remembers either of these, I would super appreciate it if you helped me out!

Sorry can't help with the first film but the second one you are looking for sounds like "Flight of the Navigator". Hope this helps in some way.

The first film is the Land of faraway. English accents. Old old movie I know I like it too.
