I hate school
Well... I've started high school recently and to be honest I haven't made a very good start:confused: Ive had 2 head of year detentions an a lot of breaktime ones. I hate school and if I ask my mum to be homeschooled she might not take me seriously. I want to be homeschooled because 2 of my friends are... what do I do >>>?

Homeschooling takes a lot of time and care from your mum. If she works very hard, she may be too tired to give you the schooling you need. Perhaps, if you arrange with her to do most of the housework, she would be willing to give it a try. Are your homeschooled friends parents willing to help? I don't know if they could teach you, legally. Maybe they would be willing to talk to your mum?

Do you think homeschooling will be a lot easier than attending a bricks-and-mortar school? (That's the feeling I get.)
What were the detentions for?

Why have you been getting the detentions?

Sounds like you need an attitude adjustment. You are at an age where you really need to start thinking about what sort of life you want for yourself. After graduation what do you want to do? Hang out and smoke pot with your" friends"? Or do you want a good paying job, and a family. There is no clear answers, but home schooling is probably not the right one.

Homeschooling takes a lot of time and care from your mum... because I had the same problem because one boy was hitting me every day I told my failmly but they took it like a joke... but one day I came to school and said I'm not going to give you anything and kidded him in his leg and face

Courtney,
I homeschooled my oldest child her first and second years of high school. She had gotten into a bad crowd at her school. He grades had gone way down and she was skipping school several times a week. She attended her twelfth year at a (different city) regular school and met some good friends who are now attending college with her.
Maybe you are trying to get out of regular school with its detentions and public stuff. That doesn't automatically mean that you are a bad kid. The public system can be very hard on some kids. There are plenty of great kids who get lost in the slurry of commonality. Don't let being stuck in a public school beat you. Fight back with work done on time, zero detentions and good grades. Understand that if your mum is afraid to take on the responsibility of working with you at home, that is not an indication that she does not support you. Homeschooling can take more time and energy than she has right now.
