    Installing A Toilet In Basement
    Is there a flange that attaches to the sewer pipe that is flush with the ground?? Have only found flange that is 3/4 of an inch too high.. thinking i need to recess it.

    There are no closet flanges that are 3/4" thick. Most are 1/4" thick and you don't have to recess a flange. The lips on the base of the bowl raise it up so that if the flange is installed on the floor the bowl will never set directly on it.
    The wax seal makes it water tight. Good luck, Tom
