First screen begain to get darker and darker, then final picture would go in and out.

Most new TVs come with on-board diagnostics, does yours have them and have you run them?

I would suggest that you call the store where you purchased the TV and find out what your warranty options are./ If the TV is still relatively new ( within 90 days) tell them you want a new TV. If it needs to be repaired, find out the cost before committing to the repair.
