Legal fees for a quit claim deed
I understand that I can file a quit claim deed myself and pay the fee that New York City is asking which is a little over $200. However an attorney says he can prepare and file everything for me for me for $650. Does this attorney fee sound reasonable and would it be worth it to have an attorney do it for me or should I just do it myself?

    Good Evening...
I am not an attorney but work with them almost daily and have had plenty of these types od deeds drafted for a mortgage. From what I have personally seen here in MA, attorneys seem to charge anywhere from $200 - $250

Now every attorney has the right to charge as they wish but like anything else, shop around. Just call a few attorneys throughout the area and see what you find out. I think you will find the fee to be lower. However, it is New York and they seem to play by a different rule book than the rest of the world.

Good luck to you and sorry I can't be more help.
