Hi , I want to reaffirm my faith after being a Sevent Day Adventist for many years but never truly living like a Christian, but I don't know where to begin. I was trying to find a place online where I could find a SDA role model who I could ask questions to and help me as I try to be a better Christian and build a relationship with God. Could you help me? I am 20 years old and have realized by some bad decisions I've made, that I'm not living the life that God wants me to live and I don't feel right with myself, but I don't know where to start or what to do to make my life better or be true to God, can you offer me any advice or point me to a place where I could get help from a more experienced Christian and be willing to help me through email or some other venue? Why online? Find a real flesh and blood role model at your nearest SDA Church. Find it in your local telephone listings book.

I will agree, you do not become a SDA by reading online, you do it by going back to a physcial church, going to the meetings and accepting their faith.

The ones I know are loving and caring people and I am sure full of forgiveness and would love to have someone return back to the flock

Father Chuck is correct.
But there are far better Christian denominations than the SDA with much fuller and truer Christianity.
I sincerely suggest that a person looking for a Denomination to join should take a close look at and have an interview with Father Chuck and his denomination. He's a good shepherd, honest and sincere, and will not lead you astray.

While I have gotten some converts to some of our churches, the Good Sheperds only have 20 or so fellowships here in the US, and we do of course have missionaries in about 10 other countries and a large group in Africa with over 4000 members there.

But as I have always done, for people there are a large group of Independent Catholics across America and the world, so I can normally find an independent group somewhere near almost anyone. But if not, we are by and large still Catholic, our group closer than some. So I never have a problem sending anyone to a local priest of the RC (Roman Catholic) Church.

There was some discussion last year about our order going back into them but it did not have enough support, basically because when orders like ours go back in ( as some have done in the past) they stop allowing new members and the group slowly dies off as its members die off over the years.

I do have personal opinions of this denomination or that denomination but look for personal faith in the Lord over names on the doors.
I would rather see someone there than not going to church at all.
