We live 3 months in Florida, then 6 months in Northern Canada, so we are here, in Ohio, a very short time.
Add to the fact that my husband has recently began having seizures of unknown causes, and you can see I kind of have my hands full at this time. Unfortunately sometimes other life forces take precedence.
As for the previous communication, after reviewing it, my husband was of the opinion that he has no other choices, than to go with the flow, and contacting the attorney would not solve anything.
(But I will call tomorrow)

I hope your husband is OK. But frankly I don't understand his thinking. You can't explain what has happened, you talk about some corporation that you know no details about. You have a right to understand what's going on. If you don't exercise that right you give up all your rights.

My husband just told me durng this reply, that his mother has told him, quote.. "It's none of your business."
We WILL call. Nothing ventured, nothing gained, I suppose.
Thank you.

This whole situation smells.

I will have my husband try to find out as much info as he can.
Like I have said previously, it concerns a bloodline will, and some "Corporation" that the lawyer set up. I di know for a fact she paid a $15000.00 retainer fee for this lawyer, and this WAS the lawyer my husband suggested, (not outright, but to another brother... ) because she did NOT have a lawyer and ended up paying a $36,000.00 in some death tax thing when my husbands father died.
This whole thing is a mess.
I'll try to find out what I can...

Okay, I am back.
My husband contacted the Estate attorney about 3 weeks ago, and I just received a phone call from them today, and it figures, because my husband will not be home until late tonight.
I explained to the attorney, that approximately a year ago, my husband and his siblings went to their office, for my MIL's estate planning, and my husband would like a copy of that paperwork. The lawyer asked if he signed anything, I said NO. He said have your MIL call me, and I will forward a copy.
So... that ends that.
I think what this corporation thing is, is a LLC, I think that is what my husband mentioned at the time, he thought it was some sort of corporation, but I believe it's an LLC.
Now... my husband doesn't want to talk to his mother... so.. his hands may be tied, huh?
Thanks, and so sorry it took so long to get back to you.
Husband really didn't want to call originally...

Again an LLC does not make sense in a trust setup. An LLC is a form of incorporating and this is done to protect the owners of a business from liability in case the business goes under or is sued.
Unless the MIL has her own business and is transferring that business to her heirs, it makes no sense.

Hi Scott,
Like I said, they won't send him any info, without her permission.
The BIL has HIS own company, do you think it somehow has to do with that?
Years ago, my MIL, and FIL owned a school bus company, but that was sold.
The only one with their own business is the inept BIL.
Who goes to court on his 4th DUI sometime this month.
Thanks,
(I don't get back here and reply very fast, because I keep thinking I'll get an email when someone replies... I guess that's not done here?)

As for the rest, I'm not sure what more to say. You seem to be caught in a catch-22. You can't understand what has been done unless you get the details that they aren't willing to give you. Your only recourse at this point is to wait until she dies and then see what the estate is about.
