Hemodialysis patient overurinating and dehydrating easily
Instead of retaining water like most kidney dialysis patients, I put out urine so fast, I have to drink water frequently to stay hydrated. If I receive a kidney transplant, wouldn't that mean I'd have three kidneys putting out urine and put my health at risk? I've been on the transplant list for three years. I don't feel like anyone takes me seriously. If I get that call from the transplant center saying they have a kidney for me, I'm afraid I'd have to turn it down for fear that this is not what I need.

I am sorry you are having to go through so much. It must be terrible for you.

Please understand though, that a kidney transplant will not give you 3 kidneys, but remove the damaged one/or both, and replace it with a healthy kidney.

Now, to help you further, I need to know your diagnosis. Can you tell me why you are on dialysis?

I found out 10 days after an ER visit, that a nurse made an error and gave me a 2nd dose of 3 IV meds 25 minutes after a different nurse gave them. No one ever told me or the family member that came to pick me up. I "stumbled" upon the information by reading my medical records because I was still...
