    The switch has probably gone bad. They're only a couple bucks and easy to replace in most cases.

    Turn off the breaker, remove the casing, then remove the switch itself. Take good notes as to how it is wired.

    Take that switch to Lowe's or Sears or Home Depot to look for one identical.

    ... then install the new one exactly as the old one was.

    Did it work?

    What sort of fan do you have? Is the reverse switch a small black toggle in the side of the fan as implied? Do you know for sure it *has* the reverse feature?
