    Dentures, fake or false?
    Are dentures "false" or "fake."

I hear the term "Fake teeth" and "False Teeth" that do with dentures. Which name is right?

Teeth that are made are "fake", they are not real.
Teeth can't be "false" because that does not make sense...
    Can you have "true" teeth?

"Fake" is to "real" as "True" is to "False."

    SO what is it?

My interpretation on the usage of false or fake concerning teeth would be that teeth that you might use temporarily for special costuming, such as for an event such as Halloween of doing some type of activity on a stage, would be fake and those that are made to be used on a permanent basis in one's mouth would be false. That is my interpretation, anyway. It might be good to look up the definitions of both words in a Google search.

Just one more thing, fake teeth aren't meant to be real. But, false teeth are meant to serve the real purpose of what teeth are meant to do.

So, I think that to call teeth false that are to be used on a permanent basis in one's mouth would be the term to use, because they aren't "faking" it as far as their intended purpose.
