    Bottle raising dauschand puppies
I am hand raising 2 female puppies their mother died after delivery. They are almost three weeks old and have been doing very well until today. 1 of them started having trouble taking her bottle this morning. While eating milk started running from her nose and she seems to be feeling week. It is Christmas Eve and we are not established with a vet and I haven't found one open today. Could anyone help us know what to do.

If you hurry, you may find the library open, and some books to help.

''we are not established with a vet'' Who was doing her pre delivery check ups?

We received her right before she had them and didn't get a chance to get a check-up for her.

Djj, sorry you are experiencing problems. If the puppy still appears sickly, please check your yellow pages and call vets in your area if you haven't done so already. Find out if any of them have someone working "on call" during the holiday or see if there is an emergency clinic you can take her to. Without being able to examine her, no one online can help you. You will just receive a number of guesses as to what it might be and that won't be of any help to you. You need a concrete answer and resolution to the issue. She needs to see a vet. If you can't find anyone who will see her today, try to schedule an appt for first thing in the morning. At this age, time is of the essence. They can dehydrate very rapidly. I hope the vet will be able to help her.
