Okay a week ago I found out that I'm pregnant and I'm only 16 and I have two years of school left my boyfriend is happy and I am to but I'm really scared and I don't know how to tell my family I was going to tell them tomorrow on christmas but I don't want to because I don't know what their say my boyfriend's parents kind of know because my stomach is bigger than it usually is but I'm telling them that I'm getting fat and I plan on going on a diet but my grandma kind of know's to because she looked at a note that I wrote to my boyfriend and I told her that my friend wrote that as a joke so she kind of know's to but I'm really scared and happy at the same time and I don't know what to do I usually tell my brother everything and I want him to be the first to know because I was the first to know about his girlfriend being pregnant but I don't know what he's going to do so if you could give me advice on how to tell my family that I'm pregnant and what to do is it usal to be scared and happy at the same time I don't know what to do. :confused: :eek: :( :) :p :cool:

Wow, 16 and happy that you life will likely be relegated to at or below the poverty line? Makes no sense to me. But I am not in your situation. I would think that you would want to give the baby up for adoption and finish your education so you can earn a good wage. But again that is me, not you. You have a lot of decisions to make in the very near future, some of which will effect the rest of your life. Please make them carefully, and in the future, please abstain from sex until you are much older.

Well the baby is not gong away, and you can't just hide the fact. In that of course you need to start getting medical care and check ups, so you need to start acting like an adult now, if you are old enough to be a mother, you have to stop acting like a child.

You and your boyfriend need to go and tell his parents officially and also tell your parents, YOu are not in this alone and should not be acting alone in this.

Now with that said, if you are having a lot of company on Christmas day, I may wait till the day after, the last thing you need is a lot of upset people all together in one house on one day. If it is just going to be a small family goup, tell your parents tonight and get it over with.

Your life will change majorly now. You have to tell your parents. And for sure go to the doctor. You can still finish school also.
My cousin got pregnant at 15, had her baby at 16 and still managed to finish high school and go to university and get a degree. So it is possible to get an education with a baby. With a ton of help you will get through this.
