How should I treat my Pimples/Blackheads
All right, so I'm 15 and I've never really ever had a problem with pimples or acne, I just have some nasty blackheads I'd like to get rid of. My dad told me that I could help clear up my skin by using Clearasil Deep Cleanse Daily Face Wash, and I started using it about a week ago twice a day (morning and night). So far it has helped with the blackheads, but for some reason I'm starting to get pimples on my face. I really don't know what I should do. Should I stop using the product? Or is there an alternative.

Blackheads are caused by partially blocked pores. The black appearance of them is not caused by dirt, but by the oxidizing effect of air on the sebum (oil) in a blocked pore and the melanin pigment from the dead skin cells. When you used the deep cleanser, it aggravated the activate the oil glands and caused your skin to break out. I recommend using a gentle cleanser to wash your face. To remove the blackheads, try using a mild facial scrub 2-3 times a week to loosen and lift away the dead skin cells and blackheads. As for the pimples, they will go away in a few days, but you can use an over-the-counter acne treatment to help clear up the pimples faster.

Cheer up. Your skin should start to clear up in a few days. You shouldn't let a couple pimples keep you from going on dates. I think you should go out with your friends and have a good time.

I've noticed that stress is a huge factor when it comes to pimples. Don't stress out, or aaah! Whiteheads!
I use biore strips for blackheads. They're usually for your nose or forehead, but I cut them into little pieces, and get them wet and put them over the blackhead for like 10 minutes. When you peel it off, the blackhead usually comes with it, and I put triple antibiotic ointment on it overnight, and the next morning it's like it was never there. I know it's not how the package tells you to use it, but sometimes you've just got to try things out to see if it works for you! I'd suggest it!
Good luck!

Stress can definitely cause pimples. Also make sure that you keep your hair off your face and try not to touch your face unless cleaning it. The more you touch it the more it will be irritated. Also if you are in sports and have to wear a helmet or hat, make sure to wipe it out and clean it after each time you use it. I had a horrible breakout in high school because I didn't keep my softball helmet as clean as I should! Good luck!

I use Cetaphil facial cleanser every night.
I wet my face with warm water gently massage the cleanser all over the face(its very gentle so it doesn't sting the eyes). Then I wet a face washer and wring out the water and wipe it off with the washer very gently.
After that I use cetaphil moisturiser, which always makes my skin feel smooth the next morning!
This definitely works for me, I am 17 years old and have never had a pimple!
Do this every night and in 2 weeks, you will see a great improvement!
:)
Stay away from the exfoliators (ones with sandy like bits in them) as this will only agitate the skin. Go for the gentle cleaners.
Don't worry if it doesn't work straight away, most products take 1 weeks or 2 to actually show visual signs of it working.
A pimple takes 2 weeks to actually come up and appear on the skin. So make sure you cleanse every night. :)

I've noticed that a couple members like shoegal tends to endorse products he/she uses although I've mentioned many times that what works for one person may not work for others. However, I recommend Cetaphil face wash because dermatologists prescribe it to patients who have acne-prone skin. Cetaphil is gentle and won't aggravate the skin.
