Removal of Load Bearing basement wall
Looking to remove a wall that spans 21' in the basement and need to know what type of leader(metal or wood & size) is best and can I do this with on one post at each end?

Is it a bearing wall? If not, then take it out. If yes, then you've not given nearly enough information. See answer I gave to a similar question here

    Sorry, here it is:

Basement load bearing, main floor and one upper floor above(two above basement)
Joists from both sides are supported by this wall. From one side it is 12" and from the other 34'. Existing header is (3) 2x6 nailed together, with one end supported on foundation.
