Does any one have any advice on the copper IUD device because I am planning on getting that one but I heard it rusts,I rather get the mirena one but my insurance got cut off and I'm only able to get the copper one for free.

Well my aunt works with those like after they are removed and she said it looks like they rust inside of you... do you have any advice on what is the best method of birth control I have the nuva ring and the patch I'm just not sure what method I want to use yet.

If you aren't good about remembering the pill is not a good choice.

The nuva ring is just like the pill, you just have to remember to remove it once every 3 weeks.

I really don't know too much about the IUD.

But no matter what BC method you use, remember that it is not 100% effective.

Yeah... I just been doing some research on the nuva ring and the patch and it seems like those are riskier then doing the pill or the IUD

I never taken the nuva ring, or anything like that. But if I'm correct, don't you have to remember to take it out every so often? If you can't remember to take a pill everyday, wouldn't it be harder to remember to take the nuva ring out and put in a new one because you do it a lot less often?
It would be a whole lot more practical to use a IUD for that reason if you have trouble remembering that kind of stuff.

Yeah I don't know I think the Pill has the least risk because it has less estrogen then other birth control methods.. I wouldn't forget to take it everyday I just don't think I would remember to take it at the same time I might be like 30 mins-1 hour late or something

Ya, I had the same problem, until I set the alarm on my cell phone. It is always with me, so I always here it go off. And descret also, because it just sounds like I'm getting a text or something. I only have to set it once and it goes off every night at 10 pm! Perfect for me.

Alesse. I started taking them about 2 years ago, but then I stopped taking them for a bit, because I was trying to get pregnant, but I started them again about 2 months ago. I really like alesse. I have never had a problem with it. No side effects or anything.

Really... well I'm going to call tomorrow and see what I'm going to do, but I think I will go with the pill just because it seems to be less riskier.. and I'm going to do that alarm thing.. LoL thanks.

You... my husbands idea. He was getting fustrated with me for always forgetting. Sometimes I'd forget until I was to take the next one... you that's not so good.

I love my IUD. I really do. I don't think that people know enough about the mirena IUD and think that they need too. The makers don't even know how it works. It increases your risk slightly of an ectopic pregnancy. This form of because does not prevent conception only implantation. I posted something just recently about it. Now take those links with a grain of salt. Just be aware of the risks.

Believe it or not the copper one has had less side effects from what I've been able to find. And the plus is it's totally non-hormonal

Maybe this will help you. My way of taking pill is every morning when I set the alarm on to get up and the pill is right next to the alarm, when the alarm goes off, I take it before I heading out to the bathroom. Same time every morning. Rarely missed. It works.
