Pink Disaster with Hair Dye!
So this weekend I thought I would become festive for the Holiday and put Red hair dye in my already dyed blond hair. Though, I did not realize that I had grabbed Demi-permanent hair dye. It was called RAW Fire-Red. I only put a few streaks in my hair, but I eventually didn't like it. So I washed what I could out and then put blond hair coloring on it... that only lightened it to a nasty pink... and so I tried to bleach it... And then I got a nasty bubble gum pink! Now all I want to do is get it back to my normal color, which was the blond I had recently put in as well this weekend. PLEASE, can someone help me figure out how to get rid of this pink!? I'm in tears! :(
Thanks!
Kristi

If you have color treated blonde hair, it may be extremely porous and may act as a sponge, holding the color for a long period which can leave a permanent tint. I recommend that you go to a salon and have them do a corrective color. They will have to strip the color and re-color your hair.

I would go to a salon, but I don't have the cash to do so due to the season, and I've tried calling around to all the salons near me and they're all booked. I really don't know what to do, or if there is any thing I can do. I'm not to fond of the pink.

Sweetie, do not attempt to fix it yourself anymore, it will make matters worse. If going to a salon isn't an option, try going to a beauty school. Most beauty schools have discounts and special offers that will suit your budget.

All right. Thank you. I'll get ahold of some of the college beauty schools to see if there is anyone that can get me in before the holiday. I'll be sure to write back to let you know the results. Thanks again!

Went to a beauty school today, they pretty much told me there was nothing they could do with my hair. They said I could possibly put a dark color (Black) where the pink is, since it is just streaks... But, the way I have it now, I would have black for mainly the top of my head and the rest of my hair blond... That's not going to look right... I just want to get the pink back to my blond color... Now I really don't know what to do.

The instructor at the beauty school was reluctant to let his/her students strip your hair because it can cause serious damage if it's not carefully done. A skilled hair stylist may be able to bleach and tone your hair with limited damage. Or, they could use a darker blonde color hair color to cover the pink tones. You might want to consider getting your hair professionally done.

Ill consider going back to my own professional hair stylist (which I should have done in the first place) probably about Late January. I talked to her today. She can fix it.. But as of right now, Ill just sport the pink like I meant to do it. Thank you so much for your advice!

I formally had my hair semi-permantly died red. On my last visit I told my hair stylist to go blonde, so we did, she bleached it and put toner in it twice, but on some parts it looks the colour of hay, very yellow. I was thinking of just using at home dye kits to dye it either dark or lighter, but...
