Canadian citizen in the United Satets
I have a friend that entered the US in 1978 with her parents as a permanent resident alien. We understand certain rules changed in 1994, although she did not complete the paper work. She has been married and divorced twice with two children, one 17 and one 14, and is currently remarried. She has owned property in Florida since 1986, pays taxes, but does not vote. Her first husband is now attempting to extort child support in lew of turning her into US Imagration for deportation if she does not comply. Of coarse she does not want to leave her children, but does not know what to do in regards to her citizenship. Can anyone help?

Please be patient, we do this for free on our own spare time. Our Immigration Expert may not be online and it may take some time for him to respond. Please understand that it may take a couple of days to get an answer sometimes.
