    Cardio for Parapalegic
    I have a friend that wants to start working out and doing cardio. SHe's a parapalegic, and we are trying to figure what she can actuallly do...

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    I don't know what her financial situation is but best bet is to hire a physical therapist and get professional help, to be on the safe side. There are exercises paraplegics can do to maintain body weight and circulation but that is not my area of expertise.

    Her medical insurance will not pay for a physical thereapist anymore, since the accident was 6 years ago. And no, she wouldn't be able to afford that on her own. There is a gym in her building where she lives and we want to go work out there, but we were trying to think of things that she could do...

    Hi, chi, I took a look at Google under 'paraplegic exercises' and there is a lot of reading, so you may want to Google it and take a look and see what you think.
