    Torque limiter - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Go t this site and you will find some information, but the actual thing you will come to know only when you see it. You can say it's a coupling between two moving members one driver and other driven which will protect the machine from overload. Various types of couplings are available, and mainly be classified as friction type, electormagnetic, pin type. In the event of overload the driver part will slip over the driven thus protecting it from damage.
