    Landlord breaking lease
    I live in Ohio. I was wanting to know if a landlord can kick a renter out so there realtives can move in? I have read that they can't do that in states that have renters law. Ohio dose not.

    Not if you have a lease and are following the lease, paying rent, not breaking rules, etc. I don't think they can even do that in a state without renter's law.. it's breaking a lease for no appropriate reason...

    You might have some rights as far as them breaking a contract with you. It might depend on any fine print in the agreement. Might have to go through the eviction process as long as you have your contract to show in court, as well as proof that you have not violated any terms of the lease... probably will need an attorney to get far on this one, and it might be worth it especially if you can charge moving expenses to the landlord that is making you move early... You'll have to weigh your options as far as what you might gain or lose by fighting over it. You'll know more after consulting with good legal council.

    Hello bud:

    If you have a LEASE he MUST abide by the terms. If you DON'T have a lease, then you're a month to month tenant. On that basis, you can be asked to leave with 30 days written notice.

    IF you have a lease, then let him try to evict you in court. IF you haven't VIOLATED any of the provisions, he can't throw you out.
