Is it safe to dye my hair black if.
Around x-mas of 2006 I dyed my hair black. It was dyed 2-3 more times after that the same color. Then in late August I dyed my hair burgandy I redyed it several times. Then recently I dyed my hair dark brown, then about a week ago I put demi permanent red dye in the underneath side of my hair (made almost no effect). Anyway I was wondering would it be safe to dye my hair black now? My hair is is shampooed and conditioned 4-5 times a week with color revival shampoo/conditioner.

Getting back to my question would it be safe for me to dye my hair black? There is no signs of any major damage, no major hairloss, no breakage, and it's not dry. Just a few extra strands in the drain. If it is seen fit to dye again should I go with a Demi or Semi permanent dye as apposed to a permanent dye to cut down on the harshness?

Itd be safe to go with a demi if your hair shows no sign of damage. Just make sure your hair is well conditioned. Color has moisturizers in it. Bleach is what really kills your hair because its so harsh. You will be okay though.

Ok, because all my friends are like if you keep dying your hair it's going to fall out. And I told them it's not that bad.

If your hair is in good condition, you can color it black. Demi permanent hair color contains a small level of peroxide which can cause a small amount of hair damage. Semi-permanent hair color will darken your hair because it contains no peroxide, and will last 6-8 shampoos or more. But this type of color may last longer on porous or color treated hair. If you don't want to use harsh chemicals on your hair, use a semi-permanent color.

Im reluctant to use semi-perm dyes because of their fast fading time.

If you're reluctant about using a semi-permanent color, use a demi-permanent color. A demi-permanent color is less damaging than a permanent color.
