I have had my hair colored and highlighted at the salon. I want to try and do it at home, can I do it myself?

Don't do it in black!! This color will not come out. Other than that, knock yourself out. Follow the directions. Don't do it too often. This will fry your hair and could even make it fall out. Highlighting is tricky though. Easy to mess it up. You could come out with spots instead of streaks. Always have a friend help. Don't expect to match the color perfectly. This will probably not happen. But you can get close enough to count.

Coloring your hair at home can be a good experience or a bad one. When people color their hair at home, the results can be disastrous. I recommend that you get it professionally done. But if going to the salon isn't an option, ask someone that's experienced in hair coloring to give you a hand.
