    Remote ceiling fan
    Can I bypass the remote of the ceiling fan so that I can use 2 separate swithces to operate the light and fan.

    That is certainly possible but do you have two sets of power lines going to the fan already? If there is one set of black, white and green going to the fan remote receiver you are stuck unless you can pull two switch loops.

    Does the fan have pullchains? How many wires does the receiver have and what colors are they?
