I have permanent purple dye on my hands how do I get if off?
I was dying my hair this weekend, and I didn't have any gloves, so now I have permanent purple hair dye everywhere. Its on my hands my neck and my face. And since I was kind of retarded that day, I got in the shower to rinse it out and its all down my back. So I NEED a way to get it off. I have tried nail polish remover, cold cream, bleach, vineager, baking soda, soap, shampoo, toothpaste, mouthwash, bleach, and dog shampoo. So I need something, as you can see I'm willing to try anything. And I would like to get this done asap! Thanks...

You've got to wait for the skin to die and drop of. Sorry I speak as someone who has dyed themselves numerous colours! Try exfoliating to get off as much of the dead (dyed) layer of skin as possible.

It's very likely that methanol is a good solvent. Methanol does remove permanent marker. This is not de-natured alcohol or isoproppl (sp) alcohol.

    List of how to find:

Buying Methanol - Collaborative Biodiesel Tutorial

    MSDS for methanol: Methanol MSDS

Nail polish remover is mostly Acetone.

I guess Holloween came really early or you're a little late for you this year.

If you have hair dye stains on your skin, it will eventually fade away. I do not recommend using harsh chemicals or abrasives on your skin. The best thing to do is go to a beauty supply store and look for a hair color remover designed to remove hair dye from the skin. You can also go to a salon and obtain a stain remover.
