Kae, very nice music: lifihouse storm! I like that!
Chery, if you think you want to go to Vegas, I'd like to start helping by passing the proverbial hat around.
Start, sorry to hear about your slip-up. You doing better today, I hope?
Cap.. you are such a sweetheart! I was thinking more in the line of seeing some of you there - the drive is not far from Florida..
We could meet at a buffet that serves lobster and shrimp all you can eat! Last time I was there, I finished three plates full.
I absolutely love shellfish dishes with butter and lemon. Then a plate of mixed vegies. I'm already drooling just thinking about it.
Can you imagine a lot of us being there and raising all kinds of heck?

OOOooooooh Chery, I have had fresh seafood in Florida and it was... well melt in your mouth delicious. Also at restaurants on the North Carolina Coast where the fresh "pop corn" shrimp was sooo good. They completely fill your plate till the shrimp are falling off the plate.:D

The best fresh seafood I ever had in Fl. Was Amberjack. I guess it is a seasonal fish.
CAP have you ever tried it?

I'm jealous now. I used to get my fresh shrimp right off the boats in Savannah when we were living in Fort Stewart. I really miss the seafood. We used to have to drive to Metz, France to a Cora Market to get good seasfood, but it's too far for me now and too expensive.
When I was younger, I'd go to the Ramstein Officer's Club on Thursdays.. that's when the General had Maine Lobsters flown in because he loved them so much. I don't think the military allows stuff like that anymore, but it was great while it lasted.
Oh, well, I guess I'll start my Top Ramen soup now...

Yes, I have had Amberjack, Tus! Very easy to prepare!
Frankly, I prefer Trigger fish or Mahi, but it's all good!

We can't get Amberjack up here. But we can get Mahi- that is another fave of mine. Never heard of trigger though. Might have to try it when I am down there at the end of this month.

I have been fortunate to have eaten at many excellent restaurants in FL and you are very right if you love seafood you are in heaven. I can not remember the name of this restaurant near Naples but it was one where you actually had to walk on a wooden plank over the ocean to get to it. There were pelicans all over the place with a lot of seagulls. I had the best Orange Ruffy and Tillopia (sp) I have ever had. The whole restaurant was on posts above the water.:)

Naples area. My friend invited my husband and I down for the week between x-mas and the new year. We figured we would go. I have never been to Naples, Ft Meyers Beach but not Naples.
So not really near you but in the same state.
