    What color wires go to which terminals on a four-prong male 240 volt plug?

    -Gold terminals (should be two)=any color accept white, gray, bare copper or green
    -Silver terminal=White, or gray
    -Green terminal=Bare copper, or green

    In your case, you will have these colors:
    -Black and red=gold terminals (2)
    -White=silver terminal (1)
    -green=green terminal (1)
