    Green stool in puppies.
My brother has just got a new puppie, it is about 12 weeks old. Its poo has been sort of
Green not runny or hard just greenish color. Is that normal, Please Advise?

No, it is not normal. Could be from something it ate. It it continues, get it to the vet before the weekend. Lots of help for a new puppy owner at https://www.askmehelpdesk.com/dogs/i...tml#post251809

Make sure that they keep an eye out for what the puppy is eating. Grass could cause green stools. He maybe eating it when he goes outside.

I lost my 11 weeks old puppy in two days after discovering dark green stool (almost black) the vet could not help her. Take the pup to the vet immediately! S/he can tell if its grass or something else! They need to run lab tests too. Don't wait!

I am very sorry to hear that. I was skeptical about the grass myself. A number of my dogs have been real grass eaters, including my 14 year old Lab. I never remember any green stools.

Thank you Labman. Still puzzles me how my well supervised, quality puppy-food fed champ shired puppy got pancreatitis and die...
My other thought for green stool is Greenies. (personally, I don't feed that to a puppy)

Anna, please update us on the puppy :o) Thanks!

Champion show dogs are bred for their looks, not their health.

There is a big class action suit on Greenies right now. I don't feed any consumable treats.

Bloody stool? [ 2 Answers ]

Hello! Sunday night Annie my Lab jumped up and got the left overs of a chicken my family had. It was kind of funny actually because she tried to bury it under the blanket in her crate.
