    Domestic violence
Me and my boyfriend was fighting I called the police they issued a warrant he went to jail, I got a summons to go to court as a complaint but I don't want him to go to jail so how should I convince the judge that I want to dismiss the case because I rather we stay away from each other.

If he hit you you need to testify against him and put him away. Also, if you lie, they can put you away. If he's in jail he will be away from you and they'll get you a ppo or restraining order if he is released.

You don't, in fact the judge could fine you if you decide to lie in court.
You go to court and tell the truth. A man who would abuse a women needs the punishment he gets.

This is why as a police officer we hated domestic cases, when he abused you, you wanted him to go to jail, now he most likely told you he loves you and he is sorry or he blames you and you feel guity and want to get him off,

But when he is in jail, he can sstay away also.

But with the change in most states domestic violence laws, you can not withdray the complaint, so you can't drop the charges once they are made, this is to protect the victim from thierself and a partner that would threaten, or love their way back home.

Just go to court, tell the truth and let happen what should happen

If you would be able to recant and let this go away, you know what will happen. More than a 50% chance of happening again and again. He needs help in dealing with his anger and it sounds like you do also. Get the professional help you both need.

Listen to the above people. Also a lot of times the abuser will eventually start hitting your child or your child will suffer as a result of all the fighting or tension. Just because they are young does not mean they are unaware. Let him get the punishment he deserves and hopefully that will lead him to help. Or maybe the judge will just order him some help. You may want to look in not whay you chose him. See if you have some issues that need to be resolved.
