    Emancipated after birth
    In indinana can my girlfriend be automatically be imancipated after giving birth to my son, she is 17 and will be 18 at the end of July, woundering cause people at the doctors office said she was? She needs to know cause we can find nothing abo:confused: ut it?

    First she will have to be able to suport her self from what I'm reading and then she will most likely have to petition for the emansipation. If her parents are going to fight this it might be hard. I can't find the specific things you are asking for but here is one site

    Also how old are you cause if you aren't careful her parents could file suit on you if you are 18 even though she is 17.

    By the time she can put the request for emancipation through the courts she will be 18. So I wouldn't bother.
