    Countinious rebooting not open windows
    Hello All.
I'm new here and have encountered a really unfortunately problem with my hp laptop. This morning I was running a music. I've done it countless times in and has given me no problems, until today that is. It crashed. I easily noticed it because the music was looping itself every second.
I tried alt+ctrl+del to end the process, but even that wouldn't work. I had to reset the hard way and held the power button until it turned off. I waited a few seconds and powered back on, only this time instead of running normally or perhaps running scandisk due to the hard reset. It gave me 5 choices in order to boot up my comp.

    Safe mode
    Safe mode with networking
    Safe mode with command prompt

    Last known configuration...

    And

    Boot up the normal way.

I have tried every option and it resets right after it shows the windows and a FLASH OF THE BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH.it not booting totally and also not showing Windows , I am using windows XP . Help me what is the problem .for this should I format my Pc .

I think you should format your Laptop but firstly save your data from drives. God bless for your Laptop...

It sounds pretty serious... you can boot off your XP CD & try repair your windows installation, don't format!. in most cases your installation just needs a repair.

I would suggest that you run Repair option, If it doesn't work then you can format.

    Follow the following instruction below

How do you perform a reinstallation of Windows XP, sometimes called a repair installation?

Configure your computer to start from the CD-ROM drive. For more information about how to do this, refer to your computer's documentation or contact your computer manufacturer. Then insert your Windows XP Setup CD, and restart your computer.

1.When the Press any key to boot from CD message is displayed on your screen, press a key to start your computer from the Windows XP CD.

2.Press ENTER when you see the message To setup Windows XP now, and then press ENTER displayed on the Welcome to Setup screen.

3.Do not choose the option to press R to use the Recovery Console.

4.In the Windows XP Licensing Agreement, press F8 to agree to the license agreement.

5.Make sure that your current installation of Windows XP is selected in the box, and then press R to repair Windows XP.

6.Follow the instructions on the screen to complete Setup.
