Hello,


My sister have this beautiful two year old muscular white english Bull Terrier that suddently breaks out with skin sores all over his body and paws. She is giving him antibiotics that seems to be working.

I understand that this breed especially in the white color have this skin problems. Also he has a heart murmor.

Question are there any natural supplements available that will help in clearing up any of these problems?

If it is a true allergy problem, you don't relieve it by adding anything else. You relieve it by removing what the dog is allergic to. The best thing is to have the vet do some blood work and try to identify what the dog is allergic to. That is expensive.

First you might try removing as much as you can from the dog's environment. Only feed it one one chow, and make sure it demands on one main source of protein. I have seen chows that have 3-4 different kinds of meat in them. Cut out treats and consumable chews. You can use pieces of the dog's kibble as treats. Bathe it as seldom as possible, and when you do, rinse, rinse, rinse out the last of the shampoo. Anything the dog doesn't have to have, get rid of it.

Antibiotics will not cure allergies. Antihistamines may reduce the symptoms. It is possible the antibiotics are helping an infection from the dog scratching because of the allergy.

Hi its Lidia,I'm pretty sure my Bull Terrier is allergic to the grass.These white flowers have started growing,I think they are called clover or cloves.Is there something at the pet shop I can buy to help the itch.

Everyone cries allergies when their dogs has sores or itching, while yes it is a common problem there are also things called "hotspots" which is a hereditary condition causing weeping lumps on the dogs body.

They can take up to 2 months to disappear and medication rarely works to get rid of them, only to aid with the itching.
