    Puppy Throws Up
I have a 7 month old Tzu who has been throwing up for the past 8 days... His cheerful behavior and active demeanor has not changed, but he all of a sudden throws up once a day... my Vet gave him antibiotics metoclopramide and he still throws up... I have had him fast for 24 hours, boiled chicken, rice, baby food, and the only thing he keeps down is cottage cheese - what to do... is there any tests the vet should be doing?

Could he have swallowed a piece of toy, cloth... etc... Do you give him rawhides?
    Does he eat to fast?
Drink a lot of water before or after his meals? Could he possibly be getting to active after eating, running and playing.
Are You sure no one is slipping him food and he is just getting too much. Are you or anyone else giving him food that may be to rich for his system.
Is he still having bowel movements and are they normal?
Have you asked the vet to x-ray him to make sure that there are no blockages?

I doubt the vet needs suggestions or will even pay attention to what we have to say. You do need to get back with him Monday if the dog hasn't improved. Sometimes the vet has to try a couple of things before finding what works.

joni, all the questions bushg have posed are very important to all the possibilities. Make a note of these, write down everything you can think of in answering these questions, then get back with the vet and discuss everything. Allow the vet to decide what the next step should be. Usually, a good vet won't jump the gun and insist on x-rays and a bunch of tests when a dog first vomits. But, this situation is continuing and he needs to be made aware of that fact. If he is aware of it and he hasn't suggested more tests, depending on your comfort level with the vet, you might want to consider getting a second opinion.
