    Removing name from deed
    How does a person get off a deed with a friend? I don't live in the house but agreed 2 years ago to let him use my credit to get the loan. Now I'm married and want to eventually buy my own home. I live in Texas.

    The only way it's coming off is if he refinances.

    Getting your name off the deed, is one thing, getting your name off the mortgage is another.

    There is no way to get off the mortgage unless this other person can refi and then your name is off mortgage, and you can then quitclaim your part of the deed to the other person.
