Being abandoned by spouse because my disability got worse
I was disabled when I meet my wife, I had a car, She always told me that if I would move up to New Jersey and anything happened, her fault my fault no bodies fault she would see to it that I was set up same as I was when she found me. While I was with her, her daughter got in trouble and needed a car. I was not using mine at the time so I loaned it to her. She burned the engine up. Then I became more and more ill so my wife left me. We had bought a car to replace mine, but it was bought in her name. She stated that she would either sign the car over to me or sell it and send the money. We were in Boston at the time, I was from B'ham Al.
She told me to trust her and get on a plane and she would either get the car we bought to me or sell it and send me the money. She sent an E-mail stating this. But after I got back to B'ham she did neither. Can I legally make her get me the money for the car. Now I am disabled and stuck without a car. Do I have any legal recourse?? If anyone knows I would be very thankful for your advise.:(

The email you received from your wife is not a contract but it does state that the original car did belong to you and that you would receive payment or replacement for such item. Although this is not a legally binding contract it would strengthen your case in a court of law if you were able to produce a copy of the email and any subsequent correspondance stating the same. Any and all correspondance should be logged on date f receipt and dated the same applys to any conversations you may have with her. Furthermore I would advise that you seek legal advice from a qualified legal professional to get their opinion.
