How do I get someone else to have custody of me? (grandpa, etc.)
I been living with my Dad for the last 5 yrs. And it's been like hell! I can't stand it.. And on top of that... His wife which would be my Step mom.. OMG.. This has too be the worst movement in my life.. We've been getting into it since the 2nd month I moved in with my Dad.. We haven't stopped.. She treats me like I'm 9 yrs old! I got to bedtime of 9:00 Which I don't think is rite because she has 2 younger kids and they go to bed at the same time. Im 14 turning 15 July 19, 2008... And the kids their only 7 and 8... So, When I turned 13 I moved in with my brother. Everything was OK.. And then a couple months later I was forced to move to Las Vegas, Nv from Peoria, Illinois... So now I'm in a house with stepmom, my dad, his friend, 2 younger kids, 2 grown men and my sister that is 15... And since this I've been getting accoused of stealing ciggerates, Black & milds, and money... Also getting into huge arguments with Step Mom This is never going to stop!!

So, I'm wondering can I move in with my Grandpa or mother back to peoria Illinois??

And I also do not like it out here (Las Vegas, NV) It's just not me.. I've been telling them I want to come back.. But they don't care... They haven't even asked my opinion about coming here to live.. I was just forced to hop on a plane which I think is illegal.. Remember I'm 14 soon to be 15 in 5 months.. PLEASE HELP!!

You will have to get one of those people to petition for custody to move in with them.

I will assume that your dad has physcially custody, so he will have to agree to allow someone else to have you. Or a family member would have to prove the parents unfit. ( and it does not sound like they are)

It does sound like they are over protective and trying to have one set of rules for all of the kids.

And of course it is not illegal, if your dad has custody, you have no choice as to where you live, you are required to live with the person who has custody over you.
